Regardless of the origins, LEGO and Pirates of the Caribbean appears to be a match made in heaven, with the game covering the entire saga from first movie, The Curse of the Black Pearl, right up to the new movie, On Stranger Tides, due out next month. In today's often bizarre world of entertainment cross-overs, it seems strangely fitting that a film series inspired by a theme park ride should in turn provide the basis for a video game inspired by a toy brand. (Surely, James Bond must be next to get the LEGO treatment?). After Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Batman and Harry Potter, the hugely popular LEGO Video Games series takes on Pirates of the Caribbean, Disney's goliath movie franchise.
